It’s January. 2021. A new year after a challenging year. We are mid-January as of this writing and we’ve already had drama to deal with that’s on par with the shenanigans we, the United States, the whole world, experienced last year.

A long and lonesome highway; at the end, a place to write.

It’s time to write. Writing calms our nerves, brings us to better places internally.

Writing helps us achieve great things — fame, satisfaction, a reputation . . .

You have more than 300 more days in which to write. I invite you to get started on your achievement for this year, whatever that looks like.

Not writing right now? Or are you writing, but not often enough?

What will help you build a practice is a darn good writing prompt.

A prompt is a simple but effective way to go from zero writing to ongoing creation.

Here’s your first, one of many prompts I will post this year that will take you from not writing to building a reliable writing practice. Here it is:

I REMEMBER WHEN . . .

And once you’re creating, and on the road to achieving what you want, let us know where your writing is taking you.
